2.In tubes;
3.In Reel, this is very fast assembly;

Snap domes for medical ESU pencil as key switch

Do you know that the key switch for medical ESU pencil is snap domes? The answer is yes, but do you know the exactly of specification it is used? Let’s see below details.

We generally use triangle snap dome for ESU-pencil, with legs or without legs.

1. If you are using a triangle metal dome with legs, the pcb circuit board should has two holes, you can put his legs into the holes, bending the foot and then fixed.

2. If you are using a no-legs triangular metal dome, we can make it into dome array, it can also be firmly glued to the pcb board.

Commonly we use 6mm diameter and 8mm diameter. The main advantage of this type is high press force and good click feeling.

How many types of snap domes do we have?  All most snap domes we have made, but generally we have divided into four types. Please see belows:

1. Four-leg snap domes: also call cross snap dome, most used in the membrane keypads;

2. Round snap domes: the shape is round, widely used in mobile phones;

3. Triangle snap domes: the shape is triangle, which can be made with two legs.If you want to have legs into your pcb board, then you can choose this type;

4. Oblong snap domes: the shape is oblone, like cut the two side of round snap domes.

Sometimes  we may receive the goods with dirty. Where do the dirty comes into the snap domes? Then how should we deal with snap domes dirty?

Snap domes must be kept clean, as it can affect the contact. We must keep no stains, grease, burrs, crushing, stamping, scratched and so on on the surface.Dirty comes from the mold and it doesn’t clean well. In the final step, we clean the snap domes by ultrasonic, and then drying, quality testing,
visual inspection, and then packaging and storage.

We will ensure each snap dome (metal dome) is made by CMD which without the dirty, with the high quality. If the snap domes have the dirty, please send back to us, we will replace for it for you.

How to test snap domes life cycles?

As a important part, snap domes life cycles must be considered. But how to test snap domes life cycles? If you don’t know the details, today I’ll talk about how to.

We will use the life testing machine to test the life cycles, please see below:
First: test head:  we use the rubber head diameter between 1.5mm to 3.5mm;
Second: test force: two time of the snap domes force;
Third: Test Frequency: 2-3 times per second.
